Setup and Onboarding
This is one of the starkest differences. Heidifi is designed to be operational in about 15 minutes, with step-by-step setup instructions and no code required. You configure your portal flow visually, set up your automations through a builder, and you're live.
Purple's onboarding is more involved. Their platform is capable of handling very complex deployments — multi-site enterprise networks, custom integrations, advanced analytics — but that power comes with proportional complexity. Independent operators frequently report that getting set up requires more technical involvement than expected.
If you're an Airbnb host or a restaurant owner who needs this working this week, the setup experience matters.
The Airbnb and Short-Term Rental Advantage
Heidifi has specific features built for short-term rental operators that Purple does not:
- Airbnb reservation verification — guests verify their stay by confirming their reservation details, which ties their identity to an actual booking
- Digital property guide — instead of a paper binder or a PDF link, your guests land on your branded digital guide with house rules, local tips, parking instructions, and in-stay upsells
- Multi-unit apartment verification — for buildings with multiple units, guests can verify which apartment they're staying in
These aren't features Purple has chosen not to build — they're features that were never part of their target market. Purple serves airports and stadiums. Heidifi serves Airbnb superhosts and boutique hotels.
Compliance
Both platforms take GDPR seriously, and both include consent capture as part of their portal flow. The differences are in depth:
Heidifi's compliance engine includes purpose-specific consent (consent for email marketing is separate from SMS consent), versioned consent text (so you have a record of exactly what language a guest consented to), channel eligibility enforcement (the system refuses to send SMS to contacts who only consented to email), data subject request workflow (guests can request deletion), and configurable retention policies.
For Swiss operators, Heidifi also covers the Swiss nFADP — the Federal Act on Data Protection — alongside GDPR. Purple's documentation does not specify nFADP coverage.
If you have guests from Switzerland, you are subject to nFADP in addition to GDPR. The two frameworks are similar but have important differences in scope and individual rights. Heidifi is built to handle both.

Purple does not publish public pricing for most of its plans. Enterprise pricing is available on request. For independent operators who need to plan their costs without going through a sales process, this matters.
AI Features
Heidifi's AI Pro plan includes AI-powered flow optimization (analyzes portal performance and suggests improvements), AI campaign drafting, anomaly detection, and audience insights. These are features oriented toward continuous improvement of your marketing programme — without needing a dedicated analytics team.
Purple does not offer AI-powered marketing or portal optimization tools at this time.
Which Platform Should You Choose?
